Until 2021, Connecticut had 4 unequal classes of adoptees based on date of birth. Those born after 1983 had rights and those born before 1983 did not.

PRIVACY

Consumer-DNA is the alternative but it is very public and does not allow for private, sensitive communication between adoptees and their first families.
